meet the artist

Mia Ceaan is a self-taught mixed media artist, currently working and living on Gubbi Gubbi country, Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Originally from Mullumbimby, Bundjalung country, NNSW - Mia was raised by a single mother; a devoted oil painter. Surrounded by art and nature from a young age, Mia developed her skills and passion for both painting and the natural world.

Her work explores contrasting relationships between contemporary life and the environment - delving into themes of life, death, rebirth, conservation, identity politics and spirituality. She hopes to spark these conversations with the use of movement and colour.
